A true off-grid loft cabin tucked into 80 private Adirondack acres — no electricity, no signal, no noise. Just trails from the door, a wood cook stove, and a sky full of stars.
A Real Off-Grid Escape
Hiker Delight Homestead Cabin is a rustic loft cabin sitting on 80 acres of private mountain forest in the southern Adirondacks — two miles from Great Sacandaga Lake and a world away from everything else.
This is a true off-grid experience. The cabin has a wood cook stove for heat and cooking, a private composting toilet, a fire pit, and direct trail access from the front step. What it doesn't have: electricity, running water, Wi-Fi, or cell signal. Come knowing that — and you'll leave loving it.
Built and hosted by Jaquan, a Superhost and Black land owner who's spent years welcoming guests to this same 80-acre property. The cabin is designed for hikers, writers, stargazers, and anyone who's done a night without electricity before — and liked it.
⚠️ Please read before booking: This is a camping experience in a cabin. Bring your own drinking water, headlamps, and food. Cell signal drops off on the property — download maps and let someone know where you're headed before you head up.
What the Cabin Offers
No amenity list beats this: 80 private acres, a wood stove, a fire pit, and a sky so dark you'll remember why you used to look up.
Step off the front step and you're hiking. 80 acres of private Adirondack forest with no crowds, no fees, and no agenda.
Your heat and your kitchen, all in one. Coffee tastes different when you made the fire that boiled the water. Trust us.
Your own campfire area outside the cabin. Evenings here go: trail, stove, fire, stars. Repeat until restored.
No electricity on the property means no light pollution at the cabin. The Adirondack night sky here is the real thing.
Great Sacandaga Lake is two miles away. Request kayaks in advance and we'll bring them — or help you haul them to the water.
Hike to the top of the mountain for sweeping views over Sacandaga Lake and the southern Adirondacks. Worth every step.
Cell signal drops off on the property. You won't be reachable — and that's the point. This is a real digital detox.
Two twin beds, a futon, and floor space for up to 6. The loft is cozy in that way only off-grid places manage to pull off.
